There has been a recent boom in corporate housing, and it’s mostly because it is one of the best options for short term rentals. Corporate housing just refers to the rental of furnished apartments to people, military personnel, or corporations, usually for a short period of time. Companies usually look for corporate housing for employees who are contracted for work rather than working for the company full time. There are a number of different reasons that companies choose corporate housing (namely the relative inexpensiveness) but one of them is the amenities that are offered. Here are three of the most common.
1. Furnishings and Appliances
Since corporate housing apartments are usually full-sized living spaces, part of that is having separate kitchen, dining, and living areas in addition to a bedroom. Kitchens in these units have basic appliances and dishes, so cooking is always an option rather than having to order food or room service, which can add up quickly. Additionally, corporate housing rentals have fresh bedding and linens, so comfort and cleanliness is not an issue.
2. Cleaning Services
Another amenity that corporate housing rentals usually have is cleaning services. These are usually offered for a small additional fee and can be scheduled daily, weekly, or every other week depending on the tenant’s needs. Cleaning services usually include light vacuuming, dusting, and generally keeping the unit neat and orderly.
3. Laundry
Corporate housing usually also has some sort of laundry facility or service. This may not mean a washer and dryer right in the apartment, but they typically have a laundry room or some service that will take care of it for the tenant. This means that the tenant does not have to worry about finding a laundromat in a new city or having to worry about traveling to wash laundry.
All in all, the appeal of furnished apartments for short term rentals is that they’re simply more like home. Having an apartment with separate rooms with all of the things that a home has is just more ideal than staying in a hotel, and often has cheaper rates as well.
